The Blind Chicken- A New Home

If you are just joining us please click on this post to get caught up.

Here’s what we know:

  • She’s figured out how to email us and does so pretty often.
  • She loves her new home.
  • She’s changed her name from the ‘Blind Chicken’ to the shorter but chicer sounding- ‘BC’.  (guess it’s a California thing)

Emailed from BC to Mike and Molly, Jan. 1, 2012:

“Here’s my new diggs.  There’s something else living in there with me.  Not quite sure what it is.  Get back to you with more 411 when I know.”

The new diggs

 Jan. 3, 2012:

“Making lots of new friends. The weather is great.  As I’ve said before, I hate the cold.”

New friend #1

“This guy doesn’t say much but he’s good company.”

New friend #2

Jan. 4, 2012:

“Took a yoga class with frog today.  It was a bit advanced for me.  I think I pulled something.”

Yoga Frog

Jan. 5, 2012:

“Check out this bath tub!  Sorry to brag but I just had the best dirt bath ever!”

Best dirt bath EVER!

Jan. 5, 2012:

“I call her Anna.  She’s very quiet.  I offered to swap my pearl necklace with her’s.  She said she’d think about it.  Do you think this is a social cue telling me to back off? I miss you both.”

Her name is Anna. She's a quite lady.

Jan. 7, 2012:

“Look at Me!  I’m on a bench!!  I think, I can’t really see.  Maybe I’m on the edge of the Grand Canyon.”

I don't know how to get down! This was not thought through very well.

Jan. 9, 2012:

“The bunny and the fairy say ‘hi’.  How are all the hens back home?  I don’t care to hear about those vicious roosters, you know.”

Jan. 10, 2012:

“Found out what it was in the coop- a hen named ‘Daisy’.  We’ve become fast BFF’s.  Here we are talking about whether sanctions on Iran will slow down their atomic bomb program.”

Ha super cute. I love that garden. I WISH I HAD A NICE GARDEN AND NOT A STUPID BROWN THUMB

Aww – I’m so glad BC has a new friend to talk politics with.  My little dog Lydia went blind and it was amazing how quickly she adapted to new surroundings.  I had to laugh at the bench/grand canyon pic though!

Yoga with frog, and all those new friends. The sun, a beach view (well, if Cat held her w-a-y up)…that’s one lucky chicken!

Faith and I just finished reading. We loved hearing about BC and her new home. Faith’s quote “seriously funny”! If one wants to email BC how can we  do this? We want to know if BC is going to go out on the town any time soon or perhaps another trip to the beach? Looking forward to hearing from her again. N and F

She’s currently setting up her own website and email.  This is taking up all of her time so she has had little opportunity to strut her stuff in downtown San Diego.  Email all letters and requests to us:  mikeandmollyshouse@gmail.com, we will make sure she get it.
